The African Social Movements Applied Research and Teaching Lab is an interdisciplinary hub dedicated to studying, supporting, and amplifying social movements across Africa and its global diasporas. Bridging research and practice, the Lab explores how communities organize, mobilize, and create change in response to political, economic, and social challenges.

Through collaborative research, student training, and partnerships with activists and organizations, the Lab produces actionable insights that inform policy, advocacy, and public engagement.
